The Beginnings of Babe Ruth Baseball

Apponaug Baseball End of Year Party

Hello from Apponaug Babe Ruth Baseball.

The end of the year is upon us.  We would like to Thank You all for being a part of our baseball community.

As we have done over the years, we would like to have one big party for all of the players their families.

The End of Year party is this Saturday June 27th.

The TBall and Rookie Division families will party from 10am to 12:45pm.

The Minor and Major league families will party from 1-4pm.

There will be a bounce house, dunk tank, lots of food, trophies will be handed out, etc. The league will supply hot dogs and hamburgers.

You have probably been asked by your coach to do 2 things for this event.

1.    Bring a food item.  Each team was assigned a food item to bring.  Please reach out to your coach if you do not know what to bring.  Collectively, hopefully we can bring enough for everyone to enjoy.

2.    We are also asking that each team donate a raffle basket. The theme for the basket is up to each individual team. Please avoid any perishables or candy for the baskets as they tend to spoil in the heat. We are asked to put together this basket and bring it to the field by 9am on the day of the party, June 27th. Raffles will not be drawn until the end of the day. This will give everyone a chance at all of the baskets.

We will also have a Fall Ball signup sheet for those that would like to play.

We will be looking for volunteers for the Rookie Fall Ball division session.  This Rookie session will be for all current 2nd year TBall kids who will be moving up to Rookies next year, as well as First year players in Rookie aged 6-7.

We will also be putting together Minor and Major Fall Ball Teams.

Lastly, if you have good ideas and would like to help this league moving forward, please let us know if you are interested in being a part of our Board meetings.  No one is paid to be a part of this league, so it takes a good team of people to make everything possible for the kids in this league.

Don't hesitate to email the league at with any questions.

Thank you all for a great season.  Your support and generosity has been extremely grateful to us.
